1. Who we are

Unmastered is a small early-access service where artists get feedback on unfinished tracks and reviewers give it. This page explains what information we collect, why, and who can see it. You can reach us through the contact page.

2. What we collect

Your account: your email address, the name you choose, and an optional profile picture. If you sign in with a provider, the details it shares with us.

Your reviewer profile: the genres you review and an optional bio.

What you create: the tracks you upload (MP3 files), campaign titles and briefs, the comments and summaries reviewers write, and ratings.

Your wallet: balances and a record of each movement. While we are in early access these are test credits with no cash value.

Technical data: standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, and error logs, which we use to keep the service running.

3. How we use it

To run the service: sign you in, match requests to reviewers, hold and release payments, and show you your campaigns and reviews.

To email you about things that happen on your account, such as a reviewer claiming your track or your feedback being approved. These are service emails, not marketing.

To settle disputes and keep the platform safe. Our team may look at a track, a brief and the feedback to decide a dispute or investigate abuse.

We do not sell your data, and we do not show advertising.

4. Who can see your content

Your tracks are private. Reviewers who cover your genre can listen to your open request so they can decide whether to claim it, and the reviewer who claims it can listen to it and read your brief. Every reviewer agrees to keep tracks private.

Feedback is visible to the artist it is for and to the reviewer who wrote it. Your name is not currently shown to other users.

5. Services we use

We rely on providers to run Unmastered: a database, sign-in and file storage provider (Supabase), a hosting provider (Vercel), and an email delivery provider. They process data only to provide those services to us.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account from your settings, or ask us to, and we will remove your personal data and uploaded tracks. We may keep a minimal record of payments and disputes where we need it to settle a dispute or meet a legal duty.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact us and we will respond as soon as we can.

8. Security

Tracks are stored privately and are only played through short-lived links. Data is encrypted in transit. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Age

Unmastered is for people aged 16 and over.

10. Changes

We will update this page as the service changes, and tell you about significant changes by email.
